Our working material is all the concerning about humans, and how all of us are different but equal. That has always been our main core and motivation. This idea has strongly increased after this experience. Thanks to the constant sharing of stories and guidance, we have broadened our view of how to keep defending and spreading social and human values while helping people in need in the South of Europe.
After these days, we have accomplished the learning tools we were seeking and strengthening the skills in many areas of project making. From acquiring the knowledge to create our own new activities about human rights and protecting the environment, to how to deal with all kinds of conflicts in a multicultural society.
All of this has been accomplished by non-formal education, a way of learning which is not unidirectional and considers different points of view, without the usual restrictions of the hierarchy of the formal education. Furthermore, this way of communication has allowed us to meet all sorts of interesting people who are working around Italy as well. It is all about perspective again.
Due to this exchange of views, we realized how different works can be done with the aim of helping society. Psychologists, school teachers, environmental activists, journalists or just people who want to give something back to humankind, they all are working on this very moment in topics as migrant integration, human rights, people with mental issues and children formation.
There are two main things we got from this. On the one hand, we have developed a wide networking with other volunteers in Italy, who will help with our own projects. And above all, we gained an unforgettable experience that will guide us on this great path we are in.
