I giovani volontari del progetto di People Have the Power promosso da SEYF portano in giro l'esperienza vissuta attraverso un percorso itinerante e strutturato.
Il percorso è rientrato all'interno del Mobility Point promosso dal progetto People have the Power per far conoscere ai giovani e alle istituzioni del territorio in generale i programmi europei di mobilità, in particolare il programma Corpo Europeo di Solidarietà.
Il tour di People Have the Power ha apportato una serie di benefici:
- ha consentito ai volontari di mettersi alla prova e confrontarsi con il pubblico giovanile, mettendosi alla prova, raccontando la propria esperienza personale e di vita;
- ha permesso che i giovani e le istituzioni del territorio conoscessero le opportunità offerte dall'unione Europea;
- abbiamo promosso il servizio dello sportello Europe Point di SEYF, creato con il progetto People Have the Power, con le schede informative per supportare la conoscenza dei programmi.
L'UNIONE EUROPEA A SCUOLA
il network locale di SEYF ha permesso di raggiungere scuole del territorio nella Provincia di Lecce dove è stato possibile raccontare l'esperienza dei volontari e introdurre ai programmi Europei.
Presso il liceo "G. Comi di Tricase" i nostri volontari, supportati dallo staff di SEYF esperto nei programmi EU, ha fatto conoscere agli studenti e alle studentesse i programmi di mobilità giovanile, il Corpo Europeo di Solidarietà, il programma Erasmus+ e le sue declinazioni. Le iniziative hanno favorito un'interazione diretta tra i giovani volontari di progetto e molti ragazzi e ragazze hanno avuto modo di comprendere come i programmi UE siano effettivamente aperti a tutti e a tutte.
Durante l'iniziativa gli studenti e le studentesse hanno sottoposto i volontari a numerose domande sia inerenti la loro esperienza in Italia e il loro backgorund migratorio, sia la loro esperienza come volontari ESC. L'incotnro è stato utile anche a scardinare stereotipi e favorire un'idea di Europa inclusiva.
L'UNIONE EUROPEA NEI PROGETTI DI SEYF
Un approccio integrato perseguito da SEYF ha permesso di fare di People Have the Power, con i suoi volontari con un'esperienza speciale, una buona pratica che abbiamo deciso di 'esportare' all'interno di altri progetti e iniziative che promuoviamo. In particolare, abbiamo promosso sia il progetto che i temi in esso veicolati all'interno di scambi e laboratori, favorendo così un crossover e un'integrazione di tematiche, oltre che stimolando dibattito e una maggiore conoscenza di tematiche quali l'integrazione, l'inclusione, l'accoglienza.
Le iniziative sono state realizzate all'interno del Mobility Point ed è un'iniziativa nata nell’ambito del progetto “People have the Power”. L’obiettivo dell’iniziativa è promuovere i programmi Europei per supportare i giovani salentini nell'intraprendere esperienze di mobilità internazionale.
“People have the Power” è un progetto promosso da SEYF nell’ambito del programma European Solidarity Corps, con il supporto dell’Agenzia Nazionale per i Giovani e la partnership del Polo biblio-museale di Lecce.
The young volunteers of the project "People Have the Power" project promoted by SEYF are having a tour around the province of Lecce so to share their direct experience.
The path was part of the Mobility Point promoted by the People have the Power project to make young people and local institutions in general aware of the European mobility programs, in particular the European Solidarity Corps program.
The tour People Have the Power tour brought a number of benefits:
- allowed the volunteers to put themselves in action and to confront with young peers, sharing and telling their personal and life experience;
- allowed young people and local institutions to know the opportunities offered by the European Union;
- we promoted the service of the SEYF Europe Point, created with the People Have the Power project, by sharing information sheets and supporting the knowledge of the programs.
THE EUROPEAN UNION AT SCHOOL
The local network of SEYF made real the possibility to reach local schools in the Province of Lecce where it was possible to share the experience of the volunteers and to introduce young students to European programs.
At the "G. Comi" high school of Tricase our volunteers, supported by the SEYF staff expert in EU programs, introduced students to the youth mobility programs, the European Solidarity Corps, the Erasmus + program and its specific actions. The initiatives have fostered a direct interaction between young project volunteers and many youth that have had the opportunity to understand how EU programs are effectively open to all.
During the initiative, the students submitted numerous questions to the volunteers both regarding their experience in Italy and their migratory background, and their experience as ESC volunteers. The encounter was also useful in breaking up stereotypes and fostering an idea of inclusive Europe.
THE EUROPEAN UNION IN SEYF PROJECTS
An integrated approach pursued by SEYF has made it possible to make the project People Have the Power, with its volunteers with special experience, a good practice that we have decided to 'export' within other projects and initiatives we promote. In particular, we have promoted both the project and the themes conveyed in it within exchanges and workshops, thus fostering a crossover and integration of themes, as well as stimulating debate and greater knowledge of issues such as integration, inclusion, welcoming.
The activities have been undertaken within the Mobility Point, an initiative within the project "People have the Power". The goal of the initiative is to promote European programs to support youth from Salento in undertaking international mobility experiences.
"People have the Power" is a project promoted by SEYF as part of the European Solidarity Corps program, with the support of the National Youth Agency and the partnership of the biblio-museum center of Lecce.
